About Kevin

Kevin Otos grew up in Southern California where he learned to love the beaches and the mountains as well as acting and directing. Some of Kevin’s favorite roles include Mark Antony in Julius Caesar, Antonio in The Merchant of Venice and Yepikhodov in The Cherry Orchard. In addition to his stage credits, Kevin has also appeared on television and in film (see Kevin’s resume page and IMDb).

Kevin has directed over 25 productions ranging from the North American premier of Simon Stephen’s play Pornography to Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night to his own adaptation of Carlo Goldoni’s Commedia masterpiece Servant of Two Masters. Kevin teaches acting at Elon University in North Carolina. He has also conducted numerous workshops on acting (Meisner, Shakespeare, and Commedia) for a number of organizations including the Association of Theatre in Higher Education, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Alabama.

Kevin’s MFA is from Florida State University, where he studied with an outstanding faculty including the legendary interpreter of Eugene O’Neill’s plays, the Tony award winning José Quintero.  Over the last 15 years he has also developed an expertise in the Commedia dell’Arte working with a number of outstanding artists in both the United States and in Europe.
