Kevin Otos grew up in Southern California where he learned to love the beaches and mountains as well as directing and acting. Kevin has directed over 25 productions ranging from Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night to Ping Chong’s post-modern Kind Ness. A complete list of directing credits can be found on his resume page.
As an actor and member of Actor’s Equity, some of Kevin’s favorite roles include Mark Antony in Julius Caesar, Antonio in The Merchant of Venice and Yepikhodov in The Cherry Orchard. In addition to his stage credits, Kevin has also appeared on the television series One Tree Hill and in a number of television commercials. Kevin recently spent four weeks in Italy at the Scuola Internazionale dell’Attore Comico where he trained in the Commedia dell’Arte with Antonio Fava and an international ensemble representing five continents.
Kevin serves as the Coordinator of the BA program in Theatre Studies at Elon University and has conducted acting workshops for a number of organizations.
Kevin’s MFA is from Florida State University, where he studied with an outstanding faculty including the legendary interpreter of Eugene O’Neill’s plays, the Tony award winning José Quintero.
